Fresh off their win over this year's Euroleague champion Real Madrid, the C2K Pacers headed to the Andalusia region of Spain to face Unicaja Malaga.
In this one, the summer league squad got big contributions from Kalanietis who scored 40 and his back up, Purdue guard Octeus who got 26 while shooting 7-9 from three.
But the hero of this game was Unicaja's Jayson Granger who scored 37 points as neither Kalanietis or Octeus could stop him.
At the end of the game, the arena in Unicaja erupted in chants of MVP! MVP! for Granger for leading the team to victory. Coach2K said it sounded like Banker's Life back in the Danny Granger days back when he nicknamed Banker's Life the Granger Zone.
"This is Europe's Granger Zone," said Coach2K.
The difference in this game was Joseph Young struggled from the field and the team just didn't move the ball as well as it did versus Real Madrid. With 66 points from the point guard spot, that was pretty evident.
Outside of Octeus, the bench produced 2 points and the team will need more production from the second unit if it hopes to be successful.
Joseph Young said he plans to get back into the gym to work on his shooting.
Next up for the C2K Pacers Summer League team is Laboral Kutxa Vitoria.

NOTES: Between games, Coach2K began working with Myles Turner both individually and as the focus of the team's scrimmage. Here are two videos from those sessions.
